Art Therapy Intern
Supervised by Elizabeth Allen, LCPAT, ATR-BC, LPC
Hi, I’m Francesca.
I am a graduate art therapy intern offering in-person therapy in Baltimore (Roland Park) and virtual therapy throughout Maryland. I specialize in helping sensitive people, perfectionists, and people-pleasers navigate anxiety and emotional overwhelm.
Oftentimes many of us may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, sadness, or stress and long for a space to simply breathe and be heard. We are faced with navigating relationship challenges, big life transitions, or just feeling lost and disconnected. Deep down, all we want is understanding, not judgment, and a chance to untangle thoughts and emotions.
Healing isn’t a general standard, which is why I shape each session around your unique needs and goals. As an art therapy intern, I utilize tools from art therapy, talk therapy, and mindfulness to help aid in this process and focus on what may come up naturally. I provide a space that invites honest exploration that remains judgement free. Focusing on what works best for you, this is a collaboration about meeting you where you're at.
My clinical experience includes working with children and adolescents facing depression, anxiety, and trauma. My work takes a humanistic approach to therapy, integrating person-centered therapy, interpersonal therapy, and art therapy into my sessions. I believe that the most important aspect of therapy is the collaborative relationship between the client and therapist. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where all forms of self-expression feels safe and supported.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy rock climbing, baking, swimming, hiking, painting, and spending time with family and friends. I love exploring new hobbies and embracing new experiences.
