Art Therapy in Baltimore

Are you tired of feeling misunderstood, invalidated, and completely overwhelmed when it comes to your health?

You’re probably here because you’re experiencing new or worsening chronic illness symptoms or diagnoses that you’re struggling to process or manage. This can come with constant worrying, stress, and anxiety that feels impossible to control.

You might also be feeling misunderstood by the world after being invalidated by medical providers, healthcare systems, and even friends and family who just don’t seem to get it.

What you really need is time, space, and support to unpack and process some big feelings, because if you’re being honest, you’re not getting that anywhere else. You want therapy that will actually meet you where you’re at, understand your illness wholeheartedly, and provide gentle yet deep exploration of what you’re experiencing.

If this sounds like you,

then you’re in the right place.

Where are you located?

I offer in-person therapy in Baltimore, Maryland

And online therapy across Maryland, Colorado, South Carolina, & Vermont

Hi, I’m Elizabeth — an art therapist for perfectionists, people-pleasers, and sensitive souls.

I have a background in art therapy and counseling and have been doing this work for 5+ years. I am trained in EMDR, and feel passionately about integrating both of these therapy techniques into my practice.

I became a chronic illness and anxiety therapist because of my own experiences using art as a coping technique and way of processing my emotions when things were difficult. Now, I help clients do the very same.

My personal, lived experience with chronic illness, anxiety, perfectionism, and existing in this world as a sensitive soul allows me to relate in a real and unique way to my clients. I truly understand the challenge it takes to live each and every day with illness, pain, flares, fatigue, and more. I know the difficulties of advocating for yourself in medical care, and with friends and family. I understand the isolation and loneliness that come from feeling misunderstood by people around you.

I see you, and I’m here to support you.

Creative Pathways Counseling proudly provides LGBTQ affirming care for all individuals of any gender identity or sexual orientation. Elizabeth is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where everyone is welcome, supported, and valued.
