Endometriosis Resources
This page includes a combination of resources I have personally curated, in addition to resources shared with me by other Endo warriors. Please be sure to do your own research and vet any resources you may choose to utilize on your own.
Endometriosis is a chronic disease that affects approximately 1 in 10 individuals with a uterus. Caused by endometrial tissue growing outside of the uterus, it is the leading cause of infertility and chronic pelvic pain. Those who have endometriosis may experience wide-reaching effects, impacting throughout their body and elevating levels of mental health issues. As as therapist and endo warrior, I have created this space to provide more information for fellow endo warriors and their loved ones.
Endometriosis and Mental Health
Research shows that individuals with endometriosis experience higher rates of depression, anxiety, loss/grief, challenges with daily responsibilities, relationship difficulties, decreased self-esteem and confidence, and trauma/medical trauma.
As a mental health therapist myself, I witness this on a regular basis. Clients who live with chronic conditions, illness, and pain on a regular basis can struggle immensely with the emotional impact that their symptoms cause.
In case you needed a reminder, you don’t have to go through this alone.
